Who do you call when you face a difficult SIG decision?

The challenge is not that expertise does not exist. It is that the right experience can be difficult to find at the moment you need it.

When you face a difficult decision, how many people can you call who truly understand what it means to operate a self-insured group?

It might be a board or governance issue. You may be evaluating a service provider, responding to a regulatory concern, developing a successor, or making an important decision involving claims, underwriting, safety, investments, or member relationships.

The challenge is not that expertise does not exist. It is that the right experience can be difficult to find at the moment you need it. Another SIG leader may have already encountered — and solved — the same problem, but there has never been an easy way to find that person and begin the conversation.

SIG National is being created to change that.

We are building a trusted national community where SIG administrators, successors, and TPAs can develop lasting professional relationships, share practical knowledge, and receive support from people who understand the SIG model.

It will be a place where administrators come for solutions — not another organization that simply distributes information.
