Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 19, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how SIG National, LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company (SIG National, “we”, “us”), handles information when you visit our website, contact us, or hold an account in the SIG National member portal. We keep things simple and transparent.
Information you provide to us
When you contact SIG National by email or telephone, or submit a form on this website, we may receive information such as your name, email address, phone number, organization, role, and the details you choose to share in your message. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and to send the resources you request.
Member portal accounts
If you hold a member account, we store the profile information you provide — including your name, contact details, organization, role, state, and any biography or areas of expertise you choose to add — along with the content you post in member discussions, your event registrations, and your resource activity.
Profile information and discussion posts are visible to other signed-in members of SIG National. They are not public and are not indexed by search engines. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash and is never visible to us.
You may update or request deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us at the address below.
Signing in with Google
Google is currently the only third-party sign-in we offer. If you choose it, we receive your name, email address, and Google’s permanent identifier for your account. We store the identifier so we can recognise you next time, and nothing else. We do not receive your password, and we request only your basic profile and email address — never access to your mail, contacts, files, or calendar. If we add another provider we will update this policy before turning it on.
Signing in this way never creates a SIG National account. It only signs in an account that already exists. You can disconnect a provider at any time from Security in your portal profile.
Technical and analytics information
Our website uses limited technical and analytics information supplied by its hosting and security providers. This may include basic data such as browser type, device information, and general usage patterns. This information helps us keep the website secure and understand how it is being used.
Links to third-party services
Our website links to third-party services such as Calendly, which we use for scheduling informational meetings. These services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies, as this Privacy Policy does not cover their practices.
How we use information
We use the information we receive to:
- Respond to your inquiries.
- Send the resources and updates you request.
- Administer informational meetings, working sessions, and events.
- Operate the member portal and the member directory.
- Understand how the website is used.
- Protect the security and integrity of the website and portal.
We do not sell personal information
SIG National does not sell personal information. We do not share member information with sponsors or partners without the member’s explicit request or consent.
How long we keep information
We keep member account information, profile details, and discussion posts for as long as the account is open, and after it closes for as long as the discussion record remains useful to the members who took part — a thread that another member is still relying on does not become more useful with one side of it removed. Enquiries and form submissions are kept for up to two years. Records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons are kept for as long as that requires.
If you ask us to delete your information we will do so, except where we are required to keep it. Where a discussion post cannot be removed without breaking a thread others are relying on, we will tell you and can detach it from your name instead.
How we protect information
The site is served only over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes and are never readable by us or recoverable by anyone. Portal pages, member discussions, and the directory require a signed-in account and are not indexed by search engines. Administrative actions are recorded in an audit log.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information we will tell you and any regulator we are required to notify, without undue delay.
Children
This is a professional membership service for people who administer self-insured groups. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
